Fiery biryani.

Not for the faint hearted!

So, continuing my biryani spree, today's blog entry is Fiery Biryani from MY81 Restaurant Brickfields. Their mutton briyani is good stuff but trust me when I say this is some next level fiery biryani! Certainly not for the faint hearted. We have been here at least thrice already, or maybe four, but yea you get the idea, they serve good biryani hence we have been here several times.

DO NOT be deceived by the 'mild' looking biryani

Here, you will be greeted with a plate of fluffy and moist rice with very tender and intensely flavourful mutton. But be prepared to cry your eyes out, sip on water after every mouth and be stuck in one of the most difficult conundrums of whether to keep going in the battle of 'You VS MY81 biryani' or to succumb because the insides on your stomach are just crying and begging you to stop, also that would be a wise decision la if your stomach is already crying.

Oh and btw, you can ask for EXTRA spicy just in case you feel all badass or personally challenged, haha. They will give you extra spice masala on the side, but do proceed at your own risk!

TO NOTE: The curry that complements the biryani has a rather prominent peanut taste, perhaps to help soothe the tummy? You can also request for Peanut Chutney, which is had a strong peanut taste of course.

Anyhoos, their chicken briyani is good and spicy too, of course, but I'm a hands down a mutton person, always!

TO NOTE: Their biryanis tend to finish as early as 7pm, so do head on over earlier to avoid disappointment, especially the mutton biryani tends to finish faster.

My overall verdict: Tash-approved, for sure! Biryani lovers, you must try their biryani. Go give this place a try if you want authentic Hyderabad Dum Briyani made by native Telugu peeps.
